Crawl Space Seam Tape
A polyethylene film, single coated with a synthetic rubber pressure sensitive adhesive. This is not your average crawl space vapor barrier seam tape. This 4” 9-mil thick seam tape comes in 180’ (60 yd) long rolls. The color is bright white and is sure to help brighten your crawl space jobs. Our crawl space seam tape is polyethylene backed and single sided. It is great for any crawl space encapsulation or basement waterproofing project.
Waterproof Seam Tape for Crawl Spaces
Crawl Space Ninja Seam Tape is polyethylene film tape manufactured with a superior adhesive compound and intended for use in many applications; such as crawl space encapsulation, basement waterproofing, splicing, color coding, marking and sealing. This tape also offers noticeably better water and weather resistance than traditional crawl space seam tapes. This poly tape is commonly used in the marine, service, and construction industries among others. Poly tapes are frequently used in shrink film and zipper door applications.
Q: How Much Crawl Space Seam Tape Do I Need?
Typically, we recommend 1 roll (4"x180') for every 250 square feet of crawl space. Additionally, if you have support pillars, add 1 additional roll for every four pillars.

Seam tape works great, if you are encapsulatiing be sure to buy plenty. You will use a lot.
I'm a DIYer senior woman but even I can tell the difference with Crawl Space Ninja's plastic sheeting and this tape—this stuff is legit. My contractors love it. The rolled plastic is thick, durable, and easy to work with, and the Ninja tape is in a league of its own.
We ran out of the Crawl Space Ninja tape once and they to grab some from a big box store—huge mistake. The substitute wasn’t even close. Same with the plastic: nothing else compares in terms of strength and quality.
Everyone who's seen the Crawl Space Ninja vapor barrier under my house has been impressed. Even other contractors thought I had a crawl space company encapsulate my space vs my general contractor's stepson who told me he prefers this product wholeheartedly. You can tell both the plastic sheeting and this tape is made for real crawl space work—not just a generic roll of plastic and poor quality tape from the hardware aisle. Prices are comparable or better too.
