Vapor barrier drainage matting underlayment has water channels created by molding high density polyethylene (HDPE) into sheets featuring aligned dimples. The stud-shaped dimples create space between the vapor barrier and the ground, allowing water to flow quickly and harmlessly away while protecting the crawl space vapor barrier.
• 100% recycled HDPE content used for the base material, environmentally safe and non-toxic

Worked exactly as advertised. I did initially make the mistake of thinking I could tape sections together with some high-tack tape, but that was a crap idea and over a few days it would come apart. Luckily I hadn't laid down my barrier over it yet.
The RIGHT answer is to overlay edges dimple-in-dimple, drill a small hole, and push a christmas tree hanger through it. THAT worked great. That is not a flaw in the product, that was a flaw in the installer... me....
Really good product! I used it in my crawl space high traffic areas (dirt in my crawl space is strewn with sharp rocks). Also, placed it over drainage rock on the interior perimeter drain trenches, and around the graveled sump pit. Mainly for added protection against the sharp rocks cutting the 12 Mil vapor retarder. The semi-rigid mat was easily cut with a razor utility knife yet tough enough to resist tearing and puncture by the rocks. I used EISENSP Landscape Steaks to hold down the matting and keep it from moving around. Notably is an undimpled edge about 3†wide along one side of the mat. Also, I found the mat has a slight dull chemical odor to it. The odor is not pungent and hopefully will dissipate soon. I would use this matting again. 4 stars instead of 5 due to the odor..
You can get the same Dampro from the big orange store for less.
Get this stuff installed as soon as you can! It will make working on the crawl space a million times better. No more crawling in dirt and rocks..
Easy to layout and a joy to have under knees rather than the gravel that was originally there.
