Designed to be used with the E070 and 1820 Series of Aprilaire Dehumidifiers, the Aprilaire 5695 Replacement Filter is a MERV 8 foam core and aluminum frame filter. Filtering most allergens, the MERV 8 filter is able to trap particles as small as 3 microns. For the Aprilaire to function at full capacity and to prevent any damage to the Aprilaire dehumidifier, the 5695 Replacement Filter should be cleaned or replaced every 6-12 months.

The filter seems good. The first one that was shipped came was not protected in the box, even though it's fragile. When I contacted Crawlspace Ninja, they responded right away and I had a new filter within a week.
