Designed to be used with the E080, E100, 1830, and 1850 Series of Aprilaire Dehumidifiers, the Aprilaire 5443 Replacement Filter is a MERV 8 foam core and aluminum frame filter. Filtering most allergens, the MERV 8 filter is able to trap particles as small as 3 microns. For the Aprilaire to function at full capacity and to prevent any damage to the Aprilaire dehumidifier, the 5443 Replacement Filter should be cleaned or replaced every 6-12 months.
