The Hilti® GX-3 Vapor Barrier Fastener – (1) Week Rental is a professional-grade tool for securely installing vapor barrier and insul barrier on crawl space walls and pillars. Unlike tape alone, this method provides a more permanent and structured hold.
The GX-3 uses Vapor Barrier Washers – Hilti GX-3 (placed on the magnetic tip) along with Vapor Barrier Nails – Hilti GX-3 to drive the washer and barrier directly into block walls or pillars. Simply fasten every 16 inches for a tight, long-lasting seal.
Your 7-day rental period begins when the package is marked “delivered” by the carrier. A pre-paid return label is included inside the case for easy shipping back to us on the 7th day.
Extras for Best Results:
For a fully sealed system, apply Foundation Butyl Tape at the top of the wall before fastening. This creates a continuous seal between the nails and vapor barrier, locking out moisture and air for added protection.
